Phew! . . .
Some water companies get fines for letting untreated foul sewage into rivers and the sea when we get heavy rain.
Our local sewage works doesn’t have to worry – the foul sewage gets to the rivers before it reaches the works!
I reported this corner at the bottom of East Street many years ago, 2012. The waterboard rebuilt the manhole which had collapsed, but the foul sewage still forces its way out when the system gets overloaded.
At extra is the manhole at the Station Street end of East Street.
A couple of Biskit walks today, and a bit more plumbing.
