Before the Weather Turned

After an early slot of sun (10 mins) it has been a dark / windy and wet day.  Prior to catering preparations I was in the Bothy on my annual inventory.

I’m busy getting ready for a coach party which is arriving for a meal this evening.  The Current Mrs Creel hung out the washing – despite a very brisk westerly.  We have an arrangement in place with Marit Warncke in Bergen who will post it back to us.
The only thing that perplexed folk was the seating plan which saw the great grandson of Charles Peter Ulirich of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorp taking the seat of the Duchess.  Scullion had flown back specially from Tòrshavn to oversee things.  I think he’ll be whistling for his fee.

Post prandial, a stiff hand of Bezique is planned.

Brendan Foster is 75.
