When Archie went out with Elizabeth today, we took ourselves off for a pub lunch. Elizabeth had recommended it. The Canny Man's traditional Christmas lunch was EPIC, though they have an extensive every day menu we swapped balls of stuffing for brussel sprouts.. AND, most important- there was NO annoying muzak!! Just gentle chatter. BUT, as if on a signal, as we got up to leave, Slade interrupted our blissful peace!

Then we took a bus up the road to Bruntsfield (about five minutes, but much longer if walking) and had a look in some wee shops. We did find some suitable gifts to bring to our Aussie pals AND we picked up a couple of Pastel de Natas to have with a coffee at home.

We've been bowling through The Crown at a great rate. Really enjoying it. Off to watch the last one now.
