Birthday celebrations

It takes a bit of planning and then waiting and expectation and then it is all over in a blink!  We celebrated No.2's birthday with family lunch in a lovely restaurant in London.  My nephew C was over from the US (on business) but this was well timed and he managed to attend lunch.  So good to see everyone and chat and laugh and catch up.

We stopped on the way back to London Bridge with No.1 and JC and No.2 and H and enjoyed coffees and brandy sitting outside with heaters on, while he opened his presents.  Nothing from us yet - hopefully can get it sorted next week.  I always feel bad that his birthday is just before Christmas as it always gets a bit lost in everything else going on.  I saw a funny cartoon last week with the Three Wise  Men bringing gifts to Jesus and the caption was "This is for your Birthday AND Christmas'.
