Drowning our sorrows…
…after yesterday’s sadness about Millie.
The family are so upset but wee Millie is at peace now.
The vet bill was extortionate it being a weekend and an on call vet.
£1000 for blood tests, scan and putting her to sleep. They have pet insurance but even so.
We went for a nice long (muddy) walk this morning with Bella, Frank took ages cleaning our boots outside when we got back.
Today I finished all the Christmas cards and posted them. Some will arrive before Christmas, some maybe not.
I spent most of the day in the extension and after piddling about doing stuff I tidied it all up then we went for a pint. Unusually it was my suggestion, I just felt after the upset yesterday I needed a change of scenery so a cider and a bag of crisps was just the ticket!
I’ve just finished washing up after Frank made a nice dinner - nut roast, roast tatties and sprouts. I’m ever so grateful that he does most of the cooking but do all men use every utensil, pans and baking trays to make a meal? ;-D))
I must say a massive big thank you to all you Blippers for your kindness and empathy on my Blip about wee Millie yesterday. All the comments, stars and hearts are much appreciated and I relayed them to Sabrina and her family. Thanks everyone :-) X
