View From Our Window

... of the Praça Luís de Camões, Portugal's Shakespeare - that's him on the pedestal.

Note the morning sun shining through the windows (in my thumbnail) of the Nossa Senhora da Encarnação church;
also, the two trams;
the Portuguese pavement of caravelas and nymphs (from Camões' epic poem about the discoveries);
the solitary figure on the base of the column (couldn't make out if he was on his phone);
the Christmas stalls ruining the look of the place;
and the giant bauble, which Mike's Blip of the same name shows lit up blue at night, with words like joy and peace scrolling round it, it really looks amazing in real life.

Gratefuls:
- the lovely little hotel we stayed in, with live piano music at breakfast
- safe traveling home, with a stop off to wish the Anemas a happy Christmas
- our wood burner quickly warming up our rather cold house when we got home
