The Time Came
A more relaxed day, with some Christmas shopping, and then a Christmas lunch at the Pear Tree Crêperie, as we won't be together on Christmas Day - Julia will be delivering babies and the rest of us will be helping serve a Christmas lunch to folk who would otherwise be alone on the day, at our church.
Mary's Voice: So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem, the town of David... While they were there the time came for the baby to be born. (Luke 2v4-6)
Bethlehem, where Mary's ancestor, Ruth, a poor widow and a foreigner, gleaned grains, and ended up becoming the great-grandmother of King David.
(I've realised Dr Amy Orr-Ewing's videos don't tie up exactly with the Advent book I'm following. If you want to see all her videos, the link to them is here.)
And, this short about the series.
