A grand day out

I went to Bournemouth on the train - to visit the partner of my friend who died in April. Who has now also become a good friend. My first is taken just after 8am at the station, waiting for the Southampton train - I was struck by the gorgeous lavender sky. Next is Louis the cat, who was so sad when Lynne died, but has recovered and is now purry and content again. Next - who knew we would sit on the beach in December - it was fab. And little dog Stella played fetch with a pine cone, which is about the right scale for her. The fourth is a very bold and cheeky starling who hopped about on out table the whole time we were eating lunch. I’ve never met one so close up, and it was interesting to see the tiny white markings are little V shapes. We did give it a chip, on the ground - but it seemed to prefer the onion chutney and jumped into the small bowl of it that came with my panini:-)
