Automotive Engineers

Edit: recent back blipping means start approximately here.

Photo: team shot of the Class 2 Formula Student team. These guys are designing a race car to compete in an international race. Floyd (back row third from the left), who is team leader, asked me to get a shot of them during my break, no biggie!

Here we go: today was interesting at work because I got to meet an expert in experiential engineering at WMG called Rebecca Cain, with a background in industrial design. She also happens to be Shane and Dave's ex-supervisor for their projects this year. She gave me feedback on the work I've been doing thus far, but best of all she seems really keen on getting some actual designs going for future charging posts. The first 6-7 weeks of the internship for me are leading up to this, as its what I'm most interested in doing: some actual designs. It'll be really cool, because by that time, I should know EV charging posts inside out (hopefully). Just gotta boss the evaluation stages!

After work, we had our first photosoc exec meeting in a while. A lot to talk about, it was quite pleasant, with many new ideas being thrown around which was honestly great. Its cool hanging around such creative people. There's no shortage of new ideas (if only we could accomplish them all...). Now I'm imagining what if Photosoc was a full-time job!

KFC with Eve, Ali and Mahfood. My first time there ever (except for in China of course). Incompetent staff meant Eve and me ended up with a 15-piece bucket of chicken (for the price of 10), damn! We stuffed ourselves, needless to say. After that it was off to Eve's to help her move out of her house, amidst a house party. She's bouncing early from uni to make some paper over the summer. Of course, Ali, Shane and me did all the work for her. Did I mention today was the most humid day I can remember experiencing in the UK?

Off to Jug, where a whole bunch of people joined up to say bye to Maddie and Eve before they go have a sick time in Canada and Geneva respectively. See you girls in a couple months, and have fun!

After a chill time, I headed back home where a Knightcote 2nd Floor reunion was happening in my room! So goooood to see everybody in one place again. Sam, you actually managed to get everybody together on the first attempt, impressive. Also, Blurred Lines.

peace
