What is the meaning of ... ?
As usual, I've rollercoastered back down towards stripped down photography. No more heavily edited RAW files for a while, just some lovely jpegs. It seems I naturally phase through these cycles.
Nice and late wakeup at 1pm, haven’t done that in a while. Instead of getting up to much useful stuff, Emma and me decided to paint up some cardboard for me to use as a costume of Stonehenge (see photo). Damn right, surf circles are on tonight! I also taught her some photography and then we decided to organize a surprise for Eve for her return on Friday. So a very productive afternoon, but probably not in the right ways!
Shane and me headed off to campus after. The place was alive, we grabbed a pizza and watched the football on the piazza for a little bit before getting ready for our respective circles. People milling around campus all dressed up for the most random of themes. There’s something beautiful about Warwick when the sun is shining and everyone is drinking on the fields, dressed as anything from a Mario Kart banana to a Greek god to … well … Stonehenge. Circles was on the grass near Bluebell, a suitable place for rowdy excellence. Don’t think I’ve ever seen such a ridiculous start to a circle: social sec Conor kicking a piece of Stonehenge into future social sec Bants, knocking her whole beverage over her. Pop followed for a couple hours, before trekking it back to Leam for Superbad at Moo Bar, where Bhav and the boys managed to get me and the girls in. Bumping night, definitely finished too early! That said, I didn’t end up sleeping until 5am, staying up talking to Anu and Sana the rest of the night.
Spain lost today against Chile today, which effectively knocks them out of the tournament. It’s been a good six years (three international trophies after all) and its gonna feel weird not having a team to support for the rest of the championship. I didn’t even manage to watch most of their play. Fall back on Netherlands and France it is, both of which are looking pretty good.
peace
