The blue jays
There were several blue jays around this morning along with some chickadees and a couple of morning doves. The squirrel was here too. It was raining and the blue jay looks rather disgusted because he was getting wet.
The wind died down overnight. Various photos have been posted on FB today of the damage that was done. One friend has a couple of hoop style greenhouses and one of them was damaged. Fortunately most of the plants he had there for the winter are able to be moved to his other greenhouse. Another friend who has a beautiful garden and often opens it for tours had a large tree come down and it damaged most of the boardwalk she has down by the lake. Hopefully the rare plants she has growing there will survive.
There were a lot of power outages again, mainly the same areas that lost power a week ago had it go out again. The power stayed on here.
Another quiet day with showers most of the day. I got out to get a couple of errands done but it was too foggy to go anywhere to take photos. More rain in the forecast for tomorrow, about 10 mm. We are on the edge of an atmospheric river that is still battering eastern NS and Newfoundland. Parts of Cape Breton could see 200 mm of rain in a 3 day period, then on Thursday as the temperature drops it changes to snow.
