Orchid Cambria hybrid
Today was one of our periodic garden centre visits. I am very used to seeing large displays of Orchids at Christmas, trying to tempt people to give them as gifts. Generally, they are Phalaenopsis which are one of the easier Orchids to grow. Today things had changed, yes there were some Phalaenopsis but the majority of the display were Cambria hybrids. Still the same structure of flower but a different shape and colour range. I find them not as easy to get to reflower.
I stepped aside to let a couple of people pass and they said "we are going outside to look for Poinsettias. I had to tell her they would be inside as even the cold draft taking them to the car makes them drop their leaves. Discussing with Clickychick later we decided they hadn't found them inside as there were no red ones left just pink yellow and variagated.
