Mull V: Leaving

The wind was picking up again as we briskly packed and wended down the coast road through pale Naples yellow lemony light to Ulva Ferry and Loch Na Keal and the slicker quicker road to Craignure and the ancient Isle of Arran ferry. I looked on enviously at the two-egg big breakfast being enjoyed in the lounge by our fellow travellers as we shivered on the upper deck enjoying the Turneresque sensation of being bound the the mast for to enjoy the passing scene.

Oban looked cheery in the cold light of a short day before we wended back to Edinburgh on wet almost empty roads until the M9.

It was a great trip to what has become one of our heartlands.
