Late afternoon, very warm temperatures and high tide were perfect for my first swim this summer. 

The wooden structure is a corner of the saltwater swimming pool. The sandspit can be seen along the horizon - if you look carefully, and the distant hills are behind the city of Nelson, located on the opposite side of Tasman Bay.
