Bring us Sunshine

A bit of a hectic day today, picking up fresh dog food for our eldest daughter, Paula, shopping for our Christmas turkey and other seasonal supplies at Sainsbury's, and then to Guildford to meet Paula and Jen for lunch. Jen had already driven over to Guilford to see a special screening of Santa Claus the Movie which is Paula's favourite Christmas film. So much so that she had driven up from Brighton to see it! We could only get a table at a pub restaurant for just over an hour (should have booked!). No time to take photos so here's another photo from yesterday's trip to the BBC. Morecambe and Wise were very much a Christmas fixture in their BBC pomp in the 1970s with their Christmas Day specials watched by over 20 million. They remain national treasures decades after they passed away. The other person featured above Eric and Ernie is Joan Bakewell, still going strong at 90, who presented Late Night Line-up and other arts programmes for the BBC.
