In flood

We drove cross country to our next stay with our youngest grandchild taking a detour to call in on the way at the commemorative bench in Lathkill dale. The weather was foul and the river in flood but we needed to attend to some bench maintenance. So we polished the plaques, dried the wood as best as possible and rubbed in as much Danish oil as possible. Afterwards went up to the pub to have coffee and warm up and then continued our journey.
