Who knew ...

... that this was on the cards?

Our usual pre-Christmas 6.30am run to M&S (other supermarkets are available) took an unusual turn when we opened the front door to find this. Not quite a whiteout, but tricky driving conditions nonetheless.  

Shopping was a bit tricky too as Jacqui and I are pretty well meatless now and Rachael has recently given up dairy. No need to buy sprouts either as a trip tomorrow (another family tradition) to there allotment will allow these to be picked out of the snow. 

What are the chances of a complete thaw before the 25th?  Pretty good I imagine.
