Spreading Christmas joy

I was up and out early this morning, joining my colleague on a yarn bombing walk. She has been working with a group of crafters since September and, between them, they have been knitting or crocheting angels. Fifteen of them went out around the parish this morning, distributing 353 angels, each with a message of Christmas peace and joy. We met back at the church at 9.30am to share stories. Many were tied to railings, gates, trees etc and some were given out. This refuse collector was delighted with his and said he would put it on his Christmas tree. 

As soon as we put some photos on Facebook our phones started with bleeping with responses. People have been commenting all day about finding them and have posted photos back of their angel now on their tree at home. It was a wonderful project and I am pleased I managed to go out with them this morning. 

This evening I have been out for a lovely meal for an 80th birthday of our Churchwarden.
