The first celebration of Christmas

Sunday 24th December 2023 - CHRISTMAS EVE

The marathon started with the 8am and 10,30am services as usual for Advent 4, then we moved to Christmas Eve with our Crib service at 4pm - 300 adults and children for an interactive service. An 8 week old baby called Joseph played baby Jesus. I always love to carry the baby down the aisle at the appropriate part of the service. 

As if I didn't have enough to do, I spent some time this evening putting together a video of the angel project, the giving and receiving, do that I could use it as part of my sermon. Then it was back to church ready for the 11.30pm service of the first celebration of Christmas. I took this photo as I arrived.
