Peace

Peace on earth and good will to all mankind.

I took a pause this afternoon to read a few pages of a meaningful book by Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hahn. 

Many of us get all caught up in the 'trappings' of Christmas without taking the time to ponder on the real meaning of life.

We remember those loved ones that have passed on and who are no longer with us. We remember those less fortunate than ourselves and we think on those human beings who are suffering because of wars or lack of food and clean water, lack of medical treatment.

We take a moment to express our gratitude for all we are given. We are fortunate indeed.

May Christmas be a time of reflection on the essential.
