Sunday: Christmas Eve
Woke up just after 7 this morning having had a good night’s sleep. It was still dark, I made some plans for my day …
Top of the job list was to clear and clean the kitchen window sills and the windows too, MrD went off for a walk whilst the weather was dry. It’s still mild, temperature around 10°C, windy and stayed dry until late afternoon.
I’d finished the jobs by the time MrD returned, he made himself some lunch and I popped over the road to say hello to the chickens, I took a couple of apples from my stock of Bramleys in the garage and chopped them up - the hens enjoyed them and were “talking” to each other, ground very wet after all the rain so they’re not able to go roaming around the garden.
This afternoon MrD’s sister visited to wish us “Happy Christmas” she’d made treacle toffee for MrD and I gave her a jar of homemade pickled onions, which I think they enjoy :-)
Popped over the road again just after 4pm, the chickens were slowly climbing their ladder into their coop, by the time I’d fed the rabbit and given it some hay all the chickens were indoors, so I said goodnight …
Tonight we are watching Bill Bailey - https://youtu.be/cr8s0hk9gjM?si=q9l7rVCS0zVBYkzO - and reminiscing about our trips to Australia …
Today’s Blip is of a very beautiful crochet string of pearls plant and there’s some homemade shortbread, all from my young neighbours, thank you XXX
Happy Christmas everyone, may you have a peaceful and relaxing Christmas Day x
Love and hugs to all my family XXXX XXX XX
