Christmas Lobster

We had a Christmas Day morning wander at Emsworth. The sea was high, lapping at the footpath, and the wind was brisk. Wind surfers were out at sea leaping and spinning in the air. Others looked as though they were returning from a sea swim. There was a friendly festive cheer amongst fellow walkers and sea goers. Here you can see the lobster pot Christmas tree, complete with lobster. It sits on the quayside outside the sailing club.

We returned to lunch and telephone catch ups with family. Presents were exchanged and Merlin and I had a damp walk around the village. It was quiet out but we caught glimpses into houses - some busy with family bustle, others quiet and calm.

This evening we’ve relaxed together and eaten a light supper. A simple and very lovely day.
