Merry Christmas

Up at the usual time to take Phin round the stream where unusually we didn’t meet anyone else. Watched the Carol service from King’s college waiting for Mr PHL and Miss PHL to surface. Didn’t take too long before we were all awake!

Presents opened and the traditional Buck’s Fizz drunk, we enjoyed breakfast of eggs royale with a side of spinach before donning our walking boots and heading off to the country park for a pre feasting walk. It was dry but muddy underfoot and very refreshing to be out.

Prep started when we got back early afternoon and as ever it took longer than planned and we eventually sat down to our starters (prawn cocktail for Mr PHL and I, and aubergine parmigiana for Miss PHL) just after 6!
Main course of turkey and all the trimmings was partaken shortly afterwards and by 8, dishes were washed and we were sitting in the living room with a glass of wine enjoying another movie. Pudding is postponed till tomorrow as we’re all too full!
