Taiko no Tatsujin

We're really lucky - we've had a lovely Christmas Day. Son#2 and his partner are staying with us and Son#3 and his fiancee came and went at times (as they were also visiting his fiancee's family). And in the afternoon we had a long Skype from Ontario with Son#1, his wife and Grandson Paddy (not forgetting Granddog Oona of course).

It's been so busy that the only photos I took were "aerial views" of Son#3 playing his new game on the Nintendo Switch. He had a holiday in Japan earlier this year where he played this game in an arcade and liked it a lot. It's called Taiko no Tatsujin. (No, that doesn't mean anything to me either.) Basically you have to bang the right part of the drum with one or the other (or both) of the drumsticks at the right moment as weird creatures move across the screen. It's very fast and looks so exhausting that I decided to leave it to the "youngsters" but it was fun watching them.

(Note to my regular blip followers: if you were expecting my annual photo of our Christmas cake scene: fear not, it'll appear on my blip in the next day or two. We were so full of other food we've not broken into it yet so it's still intact.)
