The Haircut
Some Father's Day. My sweetheart worked all day on one thing or another, including our boy's head. By the time he was finished, Lewis was nearly bald. That'll take care of him for at least the rest of the summer, maybe into fall.
Have you ever had one of those days where you were set on a simple mission, like going out to the garden to cut some flowers, but then one thing leads to another and then to another and before you know it you have accomplished ten other missions before you even reach the edge of the lawn?
We continued painting room #2, took a break to let the paint dry, uploaded some back blipping, planted some seedlings in the newly created raised beds and in the front garden knowing all too well this was a futile effort and sacrifice to the appetites of the creatures of the night; painted another layer in Room #2, pulled weeds, moderated two squabbling kids, started dinner, watered plants, folded laundry, scolded kids to not go into room #2, hung next load of laundry outside, pulled more weeds, cut flowers and filled vases, threw kids outside to play in rare spot of sunshine, grab hair clippers for ensuing haircut, check on dinner, set table, blipped today's blip, loaded & folded more laundry, and then sat down together for dinner & laughed at how short Lewis' hair is now.
Okay, just a small ramble, but I do feel something got accomplished today.
