Birthday Girl

Five years ago today Alyssa was born on Father's Day and on the Summer's Solstice (Northern Hemisphere). How did time fly by so quickly? She had actually spent more of her life in New Zealand than in the States, which I believe had been a wonderful adventure for her. She often talks about how one day she will go back and visit her friends. And how she waits for the day they will come and visit her now that we are settled into our home back in the States.

Life without her in it is simply unimaginable.

I bought her brother a bike from a guy who refurbishes them and when he saw how disappointed she was not to be getting one of her own, he gave her this one. She didn't really care for it aesthetically, but reluctantly used it to keep up with her brother. We finally accessorized her bike for her birthday gift and she couldn't be more thrilled. The sparkly streamers, pink princess basket, silver bell, personalized name plate, and a sturdy kickstand completed the transformation. Nothing holds here back now!
