Waiting patiently
The morning was overcast with intermittent rain. Calling it rain is overstating how much moisture was left after obviously heavy rain overnight. One might describe what we had this morning as water oozing out of the atmosphere.
By early afternoon it had more or less stopped, most of the clouds dispersed, and the sun heated us up. Daughter J came to visit this afternoon, and we sat at the table on the deck. I adjusted the umbrella which shaded us while the warmth of the sun induced some lethargy. Except for when our talk strayed to issues such as the new Government taking urgency to overturn Acts passed after due consideration by Parliament, without any such consideration being given to the overturning.
I spied this spider on an outside wall of the house. I saw no web.
Before J arrived (midafternoon) I had spent two hours sweeping up all (well, almost all) the fallen leaves, finning the wheel barrow four times. Our newly planted hydrangea is the subject of today's extra
