Boxing Day adventures
Too many photos taken today, lol, almost 150 to sort thru. I left the house around 9:30 am and got home around 3:30 pm. It was another mild day, so I was not staying home.
To start, I looked out at the sunrise this morning and had to open the door to get a couple of photos.
There were reports of a rare bird on the Bissett Lake trail yesterday so my first stop was to go for a walk there. I didn't see the MacGillvary's warbler or the orange crowned warbler, but I did see a ruby crowned kinglet. He wouldn't sit still for a photo. I may try again tomorrow morning.
Next stop was Peggy's Cove. I usually take a trip there every year between Christmas and New Years. Today seemed to be the best day, weatherwise. It was beautiful out there for a December day. No wind and the temperature was +7 C.
A couple of weeks ago I had commented on a post in a social group about going to Glow Gardens light show. At that time I said I would like to go on Tuesday or Wednesday of that week. No one responded at the time, and that week was the windy/rainy week so I didn't go. One of the other members saw my comment on the weekend and she said she could go today. So I said, sure, we can each get a ticket and plan to meet there. I had to pass by where it was held to get to Peggy's Cove, so it was convenient for me. It was the first time I had been to see it, even though it has been held the past few years. I would plan to go on a weekday next year, when there would be fewer people around.
Now I am trying to decide what to do tomorrow, where to go. As long as it is not raining I shall be outside.
