Peggy's Cove

I usually take a drive out to Peggy's Cove between Christmas and New Years. This afternoon seemed like a good time to go, it was partly sunny, the temperature was around 0 C and not too much wind. I was there between 2:30 and 3 pm, sunset today was at 4:39 pm, but you can see a hint of orange on the horizon.

The extras are the lobster trap tree and one of the Freedom 55. The Freedom 55 was moved a few years ago when a new boardwalk was built, but it has not been sea worthy for many years.

This morning I continued to work on a jigsaw puzzle.

The landlord was here for awhile, she was having a follow up energy assessment done. She had one done shortly after she bought the house. It is why she had more insulation put into the attic, she had a new patio door installed the first summer she lived here. Today she put insulation behind all the electrical outlets. She also had a heat pump installed, I am still undecided if I like it. On Sunday when I left for brunch the temperature here in the living room was 24 C, and the heat pump was set at 21 C. When I got home the temperature in the living room had dropped to 20 C, but the heat pump was not running. I had to turn it up to 23 to get it to start. I was able to turn it back to 22 later that evening, and it was keeping the living room at 24. Today I turned it back to 21 again, and the same thing happened. The landlord said she would get someone over to look at it next week.
