And wine not?
We woke up to sunshine today and have had a lovely day - after breakfast we drove to the vineyards to buy some wine. The first one we went to is called Gros Nore, and is a wine that we tried when we were here last year and is extremely nice! We were amazed at their property - there were numerous buildings, one with an infinity pool and they had lots of lavender, olive trees, and of course the vines.
Their 'Cave' wasn't obvious but a lady saw us and came out to greet us, and took us inside - there were three dogs fast asleep in the courtyard who looked at us and then went back to sleep!
Needless to say the wine was very nice so we bought a couple of bottles and then drove to the next vineyard which we've been to before. We bought six 5 litre boxes - not all to drink here I should add!
After the vineyard trip we drove to the hilltop town of Le Castellet where we had a wander around the town and admired the views before stopping for lunch. I saw a lovely 'throw' for our bed which I'd like to buy, but we decided to wait until next week when we will have a look on the local market.
Anyway, after lunch we came back to Bandol, went to the supermarket to stock up with provisions and then had a walk into town with Louis for apero.
My blip today is take from Le Castellet looking down on the vineyards - I've actually changed my choice of photo for the first time ever as I was very undecided, so apologies for those of you that had already commented.
