Salad

Salad.

We returned to Recife from the interior of Pernambuco (Alagoinha) today. The food has been wonderful, but we were all desperate for vegetables, so I made a salad (lettuce, peppers, cucumbers, green olives, black olives, red onion, egg, and blue cheese with a store bought creamy parmesan dressing). We had very little control over meals while visiting with my husband's extended family for Christmas, so our vegetable drought over the past three days was rather acute.
