A Beautiful Summers Day

This morning after breakfast I had a stroll to the lake and back through the park.  These mountains are Mt Gold, and Mt Maude.  The NZ Flax is the favourite of the Tui's.  It's pretty hot, +28C, nice in the shade of the trees though.  The extra missed the cut.  (Looking at Mt Iron).

I chatted to my family on Face Time last night.  How times have changed!!  30 years ago when they were working on the Milford Track, they could walk from Glade to Pompolona in just over 3 hours.  Yesterday it took them just over 7 hours!!!  But they did stop and get lots of photos.  The 3 of them looked very well and very happy being together at Pompolona.  I hope they are having a lovely day today.  Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow!
