Clever bird
I photographed this Brush Turkey in parkland in Kangaroo Point, Brisbane, this morning. This is very close to the centre of the Brisbane CBD. The turkey was doing what brush turkeys spend a lot of time doing - raking leaf litter into a mound in which eggs are laid and young hatched. They have adapted well to living in close contact with humans in a city environment, as this website discusses.
