Walk
This afternoon A and I went to Saint-Vincent-la-Commanderie, where we parked the car and walked to the Pas Saint Vincent at the top of the escarpment overlooking the Rhône Valley. It was only 1.9km, but climbed 500m, so was a good workout after days of sitting and eating. On the way up we were reprimanded by an older woman for not having water or proper footwear! At the top there was some fine rock architecture, and we managed to get back to the car before dark.
Earlier I'd taken A's mother's recycling and rubbish to the bins 100m down the road, as there's no longer a collection at the house. It may save money, but it's hard if you're 92 and not as fit as her.
In the evening we went across the village for an evening of drinks and rich nibbles with A's aunt and her partner. There was also my favourite amongst A's cousin, and her partner, with whom I was able to chat in English for a short time
