Departure
Since daughter L leaves Edinburgh on 2 January for a couple of months, she left here today to finish her preparations. This meant getting up early enough to see the sunrise. Fortunately, in the car she spotted that her train was from the city centre, rather than the TGV station on the outskirts!
After a lazy morning, I picked some kakis, since A's mother shouldn't climb stool steps outside. We took them when we went to eat at A's sister's house. There her daughter M was with her "boyfriend" J. M is almost 40 and has severe cerebral palsy, so obviously misses out on a lot of the good things in life. Hence it was sweet to see her doting on J. He is at least 15 years older than her, and also disabled but, unlike M, is verbal and can make limited use of his hands.
Having not slept well last night due to the cold and some endorphin buzz from running a bit on yesterday's walk, I had a siesta after lunch, before helping K with the monster jigsaw.
