A day of cleaning and then the troops arrived at 1pm
To break tradition we got a curry in and it worked a treat. 8 different dishes, naans and rice. I did the starters. Perfect. Stress free leaving the only stress to be dealing with my mum who wed gone to great lengths to get here and stay over til Boxing Day.
Nope, at 6.30pm demanded to be taken home and we had no choice but to drive to Kelso to take her back. Didn’t get back home til 9.30 so not perhaps the day we’d thought it would be. 14 folk dancing to one person’s tune!
The best part, was this lovely wee Christmas Rory who was an utter star all day. Crawling, laughing a delight and made you feel the Christmas fuzziness that’s been thin on the ground.
