Beats a service station
The first of many backblips.
Today we set off on a trip to the Lake District to spend Christmas with D's family. Traffic being what it is around Christmas, we went up a week early and I was able to work from their house for a few days before my holiday properly started.
We have taken to stopping at nature reserves instead of service stations when travelling the length of the country. It is, unsurprisingly, so much more relaxing and gives us a proper break on our 6-7 hour drive.
This was Brockadale, a beautiful Wildlife Trusts site up the A1. I definitely recommend it if you're passing.
