The 1853 Gallery

At the wonderful Salts Mill - one of my favourite places. This gallery, named after the year the mill opened, is a wonderful space with David Hockney paintings, etchings, and drawings, as well as art materials and gorgeous art, architecture, and photography books for sale. We wandered around all the galleries and shops and had a lovely bowl of soup in the cafe. We were going to walk along the canal, but it was raining again by then so we gave it a miss. I only came home with a wall calendar for the kitchen, but I could have spent a fortune.
