The Graduate

Today was Orla's nursery graduation concert. We had a crash course in the special going to school song that the rest of the children have been learning for weeks but she was only introduced to on Monday. She was very worried about getting it right and did a fantastic job. I bought her a new dress and matching hairband and she looked lovely in them, a proper little lady. I went to the concert on my own with Conor. He was very well behaved and was giving big smiles to all the mums and grandmas who came over to talk to him. Three different mums told me that their children talk about Orla all the time. One is the mum of a little boy who will be in her class and the other two are mums of little girls who joined the nursery this year. They both said that Orla helped their children settle in. Orla's teacher said on her report card that she is a kind girl. Orla, we are so proud of you. xxx
