After spending some time doing telephone knock ups for the Aberdeen Donside by election this evening I had dinner with an old school friend whom I hadn't spoken to at any length for (probably) more than 40 years. It was interesting, enjoyable and informative.

On the way I walked past this house in North Castle St in Edinburgh and thought about connections of family and friendship associated with place that anchor us to our past yet also make us all what we become.
