Hot stuff

I had a great morning at the Royal Highland Show - as ever- and visited quite of number of stands with educational or constituency connections as well as meeting lots of people from Argyll and from my previous job as Environment Minister.

At the SRUC stand - the new institution which is a result of the merger of SAC and the rural colleges - I saw much fascinating work including that involving infra red thermal imaging which is being used to assist animal health.

Professor Malcolm Mitchell who has been so influential on the matter of animal transportation demonstrated the technique to me and this self portrait blip shows us both , or rather what we were emitting.
