Dumyat and the Trossachs

A lovely day. The sun rose at 8:44, so another few days before the mornings start to become lighter. When it did rise, a lovely sunny day. As it is going to be a clear afternoon, I decide to wait until then to use the camera.

In the afternoon a walk across the Braids to find a café that was open, as the local one is shut between Christmas and New Year. Not much to see to the south, the Moorfoot Hills covered by menacing cloud. The best views were to the west, where the Trossachs could clearly be seen. No clear views to Ben Vrackie, and certainly nothing further north than that. Even to the east, where the weather is clearer, North Berwick Law and the Bass Rock were a tad hazy.

The Earth's orbit around the sun mean that yesterday, we got more than 7 hours of daylight, as the sun now sets just a few minutes later than before Christmas. Extra shows the Pentland Hills about 25 minutes after sunset.
