Beaver world

Horrible weather but we needed to get out for a walk. We’d hoped to go to the coast but decided inland and woods were a better option. So had a muddy tramp round lakes on the River Otter where there is a beaver release trial. Plenty of evidence of beaver activity with dams and chewed trees. The beavers kept a low profile though.
Popped in to a country pub after the walk, excited at the anticipation of a local ale and pub lunch. Sadly there was no room at the inn for a meal so we had to settle for just an ale!
