Playing detective with some logic puzzles - keeping the mind going when it doesn't know what day it is. Caught up on a week of blips tonight too, back to Christmas Eve.

Time for my New Year's Eve Eve wrap of 2023 - 12 from the last 12 months.

2023 started early in the weaning days, introducing Baby Yoda to macaroni cheese, and chocolate cake for her first birthday in May. We've made good use of our zoo membership this year too, with several trips to Edinburgh Zoo, and one memorable one to Highland Wildlife Park.

This year we've been introduced to the Adventures of Paddington - on repeat for most of the year. So much so, we had to buy season two to give us some variety, then sign up to Paramount+ to get season three for the same reason.

A busy year from a work point of view with Holly back at work, a regular return to the office for us both, and an office move later in the year. Saying goodbye to Leith, and hello to the city centre, which will come in handy in the summer.

At home, more DIY this year, with the bedroom makover. We enjoyed the results of last year's garden work this summer.

I reached the 5,000 mark on blipfoto in March, and enjoyed a long-overdue catch-up in June, 21-years after our final exams. And I've got a renewed taste for hot chocolate with the Velvetiser - managing dairy free options with dark chocolate and vanilla soy milk. I'm ending the year with a frozen shoulder - sore, uncomfortable, and hopeful that a new year steroid injection will sort me out.

This year's highlights:

#JustRead: I haven't read as much as I'd have liked to this year, and almost half non-fiction. The most poignant, Matthew Perry's 'Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing'. Finished not long before news of his death.

#CurrentlyWatching: Hijack - we were on the edge of our seats every week. Nice to have something so bingeable on weekly forcing us to avoid bingeing.
