A WHIRLWIND

I got up early and after a quick breakfast i set to and finished off what needed doing ready for my visitors to arrive.  Becky, Mike and Astrid were driving from Leicestershire today  - they have been staying with Mikes Mam and Dad for a couple of days.  They arrived here around 3pm

After having a cup of coffee we opened presents... well actually Astrid opened all the presents herself. She was so excited  She asked what every present was and who it was for and then gave it to that person..She had so much fun.  Most of the presents  I got for Astrid were connected to Peppa Pig as she loves Peppa Pig. There were books, a car, a shopping trolley, a sippy cup,  a ball and a squidgy soft chair.  She also got some other soft toys and the Newcastle United T Shirt you can see her wearing in my blip shot.  She wanted to put it on as soon as she unwrapped it.

Astrid is like a whirlwind.  She never stops moving - or talking.  I'm amazed at how well she's talking since I saw her last. She's exhausting .... but fun.  I only took three photos of her today as she hardly stood still for a minute.

Mike went out later to get us fish and chips for our tea.  It was very tasty.  We didn't watch any TV - just spent the evening chatting once Astrid had gone to bed.

Tino and Lily have been rather nervous with Astrid around.   Astrid loves cats ( she has one at home called Chester ) so she wanted to get close to mine but of course they aren't used to children so they have been hiding away a lot.  However they seem to be getting a bit braver this evening as they have been OK around her.
