Dolly's Day

REFLECTION

I was due to meet Neil for lunch at 1.30pm so I left the house around 1pm and walked down to the village.  My back was very sore today so I took my time. I got to the Harry Clasper ( Wetherspoons )  almost at the same time as Neil.

The place was fairly busy but we found a table OK.  Neil had mixed grill and I had chicken with BBQ sauce and chips.  It was very nice.  We spent around 1½ hrs there - eating, drinking and chatting.   Mostly about football.

The Mono Monday challenge is REFLECTION.  In my blip shot you can see my view of Neil reflected in a mirror on the ceiling above our table in the pub.  Ive added an Extra of another reflections image - the mirrors in the ladies toilets.  Thanks to McCaviti for hosting the challenge.

Neil had some time before his bus was due  - they only run once an hour  - so we walked along to The Heritage Garden so Neil could look round as he hadn't been before.  At this time of year its not looking at its best but at least hes been there now,

After Neil caught his bus I popped into Herons for a few things and then walked home.  On my way down to the village it had been dry and windy.  On my way back it was dark, windy, damp and drizzly.

This evening I have been wrapping presents ( for Becky, Mike and Astrid ready for when they visit) and listening to the football on the radio.

Newcastle were playing away against Manchester United.  Newcastle played well again and the final score was Man. Utd. 0 Newcastle 2.  It was a momentous result as It was Newcastle's first league win at Old Trafford since December 2013 and only their second win there in 40 visits.  Well done The Toon.
