2023 Saturday — Big Waves
When we went to bed last night we were listening to rain; the rain continued all night and into this morning, but by late morning it had stopped.
These past two days the coast of California from at least as far north as Carmel and south to San Diego are experiencing extremely large waves. So today we tried to get a good angle on watching the waves break over the rock jetty at the entrance to the Morro Bay Harbor.
The holiday weekend crowds were causing traffic to be a little congested on the Embarcadero. And the road to the parking lot at the base of Morro Rock was closed due to the dangerous conditions of the surf, so we did not get close enough to capture a good photo.
Other than drive to Morro Bay to see the Rock, we’ve enjoyed a do-nothing, relaxing day. Little-by-little I am getting our Christmas decorations put away. We grilled a steak on the barbecue for our evening meal.
The last Saturday of this year is now about gone.
Good night from Cayucos on
California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
