A Brief Opening

As we drove up the hill to our friend's house at 4:20 pm, we could see the bright colors developing in the sky and we hoped we would arrive before the sunset had completely disappeared. This peek at the beauty greeted us from their back deck and then it was gone within a few minutes. I love the mist in the low areas and the rolling hills in the distance. 

We had fun with a gift exchange game and sharing potluck snacks. Our original gathering was scheduled before Christmas but we had to reschedule because two of the couples had Covid. The drive down the mountain was a little scary because a thick fog developed while we were having fun but we made it safely. Now we are settled in for a little TV....Football game with the sound going directly to my husband's hearing aids...perfect.  Now off to bed.
