After the rain

We stayed overnight with my parents and had a really gentle start to the day, reading, jigsawing, and looking at my parents' holiday photos. After a tasty lunch the torrential rain let up and we were able to get out for a walk.

D was feeling very tired of people by that point (and I don't blame him, after a nearly solid two weeks of staying with family) so we came home and unpacked the presents. Everything is now neatly tidied away and we are ready for a relaxed evening without any social commitments, and the start of a new year tomorrow.
