It ain't over til it's over

Today was the last day of our holiday.

I took one photo which was of a lizard poking out a hole at breakfast time but I can't find it

This one came in from Boy around lunchtime

He and Jess are in Thailand staying with two other couples they have met and travelled with during the course of their travelling

Would you look at the life they live

Our plane was already delayed when  we were the first pick up.  The edinburgh flight was delayed because of earlier aerospace action

We got to the airport in one hour and fifty and got through security quickly

Tooli remembered a good: but quiet because of the distance: restaurant and we headed there for our wait

It looked to be two hours

I made two.trips to the toilet and we calculated a return trip was quarter of a mile. I had just returned from the second visit when we realised we were.being called to a gate - a quarter of a mile past the toilets

We got there and found a queue and joined it

And quickly we were down the stairs and on the road in front of the plane

We watched half.our baggage be loaded. We watched the cleaning crews.board and off load. We watched another batch of people leave the airport and board a plane

I occupied a little boy who was becoming a handful for his mum until he started punching me in the stomach and trying to bite my belly

Tooli took over distracting duties for a while but he was running over her feet with his Trunkie so that didn't last long

We stood on the tarmac for over an hour; it may have been nearer two.  We saw the cabin crew come out and stand on the steps and look around. Almost wondering where we were

Then suddenly someone appeared and started to guide us across the road

Half an hour later and an apology from the captain later for us being left on the tarmac. He said he had no idea why

Eventually we arrived home at 1230am.  Then had the drive home. Another hour and a half

A very long day
